Work Duty

Members of the techmaster community have the option of making their techmaster tasks count for Phillips Academy's required weekly work duty. Mrs. Witman at the PA Computer Center is responsible for giving out work duty credit. She does this on a weekly basis. In order to get credit for the week and not receive a cut, techmasters have to do at least one of the following:

  • Complete a work request
  • Show up at the weekly Techmaster meeting
  • Be working actively on a project and submit a short status report for the week to Mrs. Witman

If none of these things are done for a full week, the techmaster will receive one cut from work duty.

Techmasters also have the option of simply being a member of Techmasters for fun and not for work duty credit. If this is the case, the techmaster won't receive a cut for not being active, but they are strongly encouraged to participate anyway. All things considered, it's not all that hard to show up to the meetings once a week.
